History
Owned by the De Broissia and d’Escayrac families since 1895, this
building has housed various enterprises over the years.
It originally served as a ceramics production workshop, and in the
1970s, it became home to the Sentier’s largest cashmere distributor,
Ange Levy. With the help of Paulo Santini, the architect behind Ted
Lapidus' iconic all-metal boutiques, Santini designed the 11 display
windows, 48 oculi, stainless-steel entrance, and spiral staircase.
In 2021, Les Showrooms du Marais modernized the space while
preserving the original stainless-steel facade elements. The ground
floor’s marble flooring was restored, and the Eiffel structures and
brick walls were uncovered to bring back the splendor of this
legendary building.
The abundance of natural light from the numerous windows is
further enhanced by the 4-meter-high ceilings on both floors.
With its 4th category L and M ERP classification, the venue can
host events from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
