The Moritz Square, has been considered as the place urbanism inBerlin. Within a radius of 75 meters, one found two of the largest shopping malls in Berlin, full of glitzy luxury goods and superb textiles. After the world war most of the buldings were distroyed and the round about fell into a long beauty sleep until 2007. It was this year that
layed the foundation of todays succes. Firstly, the AUFBAUHAUS (Planet Modulor)
opened its doors. Slowly, but surely, the neighborhood attracted a new wave of pioneer
culturepreneurs and their projects. Today, the Moritzplatz is known as one of the most
vibrant places in the city with internationally known places like Prinzessinnengarten,
BetaHaus, Open Design City, Just Music, Ritter Butzke, Aqua Carée, IMA Design Village,
St. Moritz MultiSpace, Idealo, Mykita Haus as well as plenty of restaurants and bars just
around the corner- all just a few metres away from each other.
The location of the venue is exactly on Moritzplatz. It used to be a former concept store for sustainable paper design objects. Today, it is used as a temporary show room, conference
space and special event venue with a great view on the sleepless roundabout. It has a
direct access to the U-Bahn and is centrally located between Alexanderplatz (7 min by
train) in Kreuzberg (1 min. to Kottbusser Tor by train).
